Best of Serendipity (September 2024)

It's not often that we see a squirrel just chilling out on a branch. They're usually on the go.

They really do make the yard colorful.
This little guy got to move to a new forest home.
As the garden empties, the freezer fills.

  1. What a spectacular way to make art of your produce. I see racoon in your trap. We think of them as cute but I guess they are as damaging as possums - and native? Did you know they are called washbears in Germany (where they are not native but were introduced)?

    1. Forgive me for responding a few weeks... months... year late!! I don't think I ever mentioned this blog to anyone and didn't realize I'd have any readers or commenters! I just today discovered that I do!
Washbears! Well, how about that! Yeah, they sure are cute... but can be a real problem too!
