A friend gave me some lily bulbs last year. I put them in the row and forgot. What a surprise to see them pop up and be so beautiful this year!
My back deck becomes a second garden with pots of herbs, peppers, tomatoes, and marigolds.
It's a good thing squirrels are cute because they are not helpful in any other way.
I love to bring in a basket filled with fresh vegetables. They're so pretty. This was my first year to attempt growing garlic. It was a success!
All of the indoor plants are so happy during the months when they aren't indoor plants!
And another surprise! There are red ones too! I do love lilies so much. They require nothing. They just show up each year and put on a show for a few weeks.
It's always fun to have chicks. Fancy-like was broody for a long time, so we got babies, waited until dark, then slipped them under her. She was quite proud and fiercely protective the next morning.
